Welcome to the PurpleDoor Application Support & Help Pages

You have three options to help solve any issues you may encounter while using your PurpleDoor mobile application:-

  1. Read the Frequently Asked Questions
  2. Search the Help files (which are also on your App) or
  3. Contact the support team via email

We will do everything we can to help you solve your issues as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

 

Frequently Asked Questions:

You can use PurpleDoor in airplane mode at any time you see fit.

However because you will have disabled connectivity to the PurpleDoor server you will not be able to:

    • use your location to search for properties near you
    • have new addresses verified by Google Maps
    • see other people’s feedback on a property

You still can see all the information that you have entered into your PurpleDoor App prior to turning on airplane mode on your device.

If you have turned on location services either by allowing PurpleDoor to use your current location or by changing the settings on your device, you will be able to see properties that other PurpleDoor inspectors have attended that are located near you (within a few kilometers).

If you can not see any properties near you then this may be caused by:

  • no other PurpleDoor uses have entered in an address that is near your current location
  • you do not have adequate connectivity to the internet at your current location
  • there is a problem with the PurpleDoor Application at this time

For each of these circumstances there Will be a corresponding error message displayed on your device on the PurpleDoor Search page. If the message “No properties found near you. Please enter street address” is displayed, it is because there are no properties on the PurpleDoor database that are near you. If you enter an address near you this will become available for others to see in the future.

Your PurpleDoor App will display a ‘timeout’ or ‘no internet connectivity’ message if either of these issues is the cause. We suggest that if you get into a situation where you believe there are properties near you that are not being displayed, simply begin typing in an address and these properties should appear.

If you have turned on location services either by allowing PurpleDoor to use your current location or by changing the settings on your device, you will be able to see properties that other PurpleDoor inspectors have attended that are located near you (within a few kilometers).

As you travel between suburbs your PurpleDoor App will not automatically update (as this will chew up your bandwidth).

To refresh your search at any time, including when you have moved from one suburb to another, is to perform the refresh gesture by holding your finger on the screen and moving it downwards.

You will see the refresh wheel swirling at the top of your screen and this should result in an updated list of properties near you.

If you are returning no properties near you in a new suburb and you believe there are properties near you that are not being displayed, we suggest you begin typing in an address and these properties should appear.

All the information on your device as well as the information you provide in your feedback for others is completely anonymous.

We do not collect personal details of our users and we do not require them to identify themselves in any way, have any log in details or provide any personal information to access the PurpleDoor App or website.

Therefore it is impossible for us to identify you as a user in any circumstance, except where you choose to provide these details by typing them into a text field on your device for others to see.

The information that you provide will only be used, if at all, as an average, aggregated or combined with the same information provided by other users and presented as such.

We will NEVER publish individual users NOR information that could be used to identify individual contributors. For more information please see the privacy policy and terms of use pages on this site.

If you suspect that your personal details or contributions are able to be traced back to you in any way please contact us immediately and we will see to it that it is resolved.

We do not collect personal details of our users and we do not require them to identify themselves in any way, have any log in details or provide any personal information to access the PurpleDoor App or website.

Therefore it is impossible for us to contact or identify our users to inform them of updates or changes to the PurpleDoor Application.

We ask that users observe the update notices via their App Store Updates mechanism as well as check this website for update notifications.

Any changes or updates to the use of your PurpleDoor App and website will appear on the first landing page of this website.

If you believe that you have missed an update or would like to be notified please click on the contact us and we can register you as a PurpleDoor App user and we will inform you as changes or updates occur.

You can use PurpleDoor on any iPhone or iPad given the iOS version is compatible.

There version we have created is designed for iPhone but can be used without issue in its entirety on an iPad.

Please note however that when downloading for use on your iPad it will be in mobile mode when you use it.
